F-15s at Groom - it is unlikely they would be 'based' there, rather they may be a rotating detachment from Nellis if they are there. A two ship detachment would require at least 25-30 personnel, 3-4 pilots plus some specific F-15 only equipment like spare engines and ground handling equipment. If that detachment were to be kept on 5 minute alert 24 hours a day, then the amount of personnel and maintenance equipment would increase accordingly. Like I said, I doubt anything bigger than a Cessna could penetrate the Nellis range airspace and get close to the place anyway, and a Pave Hawk armed with Stingers could deal with a Cessna very easily.
