Ian Nightingale was right. the Documentary was for Channel 4 called Dreamland. Im affraid he is also right about the absolute near miss of the F-15's Nellis control were on the radio and the F-15s WERE on Guard frequency. cheers
Two were scrambled to intercept the Cessna because the Crew wanted to show you(the people at home) what would happen if they pointed the aircraft towards Area 51 and flew directly towards it.
Nellis called up F-15s already in the vicinity and the action was caught on TV video cameras.
One of the F-15s came so close to the cessna, the pilot then decided that was enough and immediately turned away.
Both F-15s came very close and made several very high speed passes.
The action was caught from the door of the cessna, and from the from cockpit.
