Here in the UK the German -29s use the ACMI range in the North sea run by BAe Systems and is a very similar set up to that found in the Nellis Ranges although over the sea. The USAF F-16s based at Spangdahlem found that the Mig29 had a better turn rate and your right about the F/A18 however some pilots thought the F/A18 turned inside the Mig29 at all times and the F18s high alpha is extremely better than the Mig29s. I see the 48th FW F-15C/Es at RAF Lakenheath everyday race down our valley at 250ft...just like i do every other aircraft in the UK. Who needs Red Flag when you get to see what i see...dogfights everyday and 250ft mud moving jinking in the deep vallies! cheers
They also fly there F-4s here.
I got several photos of the German Mig29s in the air on ACM.
