Yes, three hours with some gear sounds about right for Tikaboo (at least for those of us approaching the big "4"). I like to hike up in the afternoon, and camp up there over night. That way you see if there is some night activity (watch closely when the blue runway lights come on!), and you get the best view in the early morning.
