Except: Chris Gibson is a British national and member of the Royal Observer corps. Chris would know the difference between a Vulcan and something else. The Vulcan was a huge national point of pride for British aircraft fans. Given the Vulcan was retired from military service in 1984 and the preserved examples were only in a taxi-ing condition between 1984 and 2006 there were no Vulcan's flying in 1989 and not until 2007 when XH558 was flown after its restoration.
