So over a decade ago "someone" had an opinion on what Gibson saw. Interesting. Also not sure where this "Mach 6 reconnaissance aircraft" idea is coming from.

Btw, with the addition of the boom mounted drogue adapter, KC-135s could refuel Vulcans and other probe equipped a/c. The Brits asked to "borrow" KC-135s so kitted out to refuel Vulcans during the Falklands War. The Reagan Administration declined the request.
