I'm considering a trip to look at the Persids the nights of August 11th and 12th and was thinking if I'm going to stay up looking at the night sky anyway, why not do it where there's also a view of our favorate (non) base. Got me to wondering if anyone else is considering a trip to the A51 area to watch the meteor shower next month?

Also worth noting that 38 years ago today we could have all looked up at the moon knowing a couple of guys were walking around up there . . .
