That seems to be really unprofessional of them to answer in such a way!

How did you ask them? Did the letter read as a kid who really should've been doing is homework, or was it a logically laid out and written question? The person who answered it may have thought you were just a kid playing games! Did the reply have a signatory?

If you were serious, then it may be worth complaining to the Public Affairs Manager or whoever runs the PA office, as I'm sure they would not want responses such as this originating from 'Eddies'!
