I just noticed that there is a new image of Area 51 available on Google Earth. It is dated 2/22. Not sure how long it has been up but since no one has mentioned this yet I assume it is fairly new. Since no Janets are on the ramp and all base vehicles are parked near the Janet terminal I assume the photo was taken on a weekend. The resolution appears to be better than 1m. The two large canopies around Hangars 20-23 are clearly visible. An aircraft is parked on the concrete ramp where the 2009 hangar was demolished. Could be one of the Beech 1900's. A lot of vehicles or equipment in that area as well. The new building south of the new chow hall looks mostly finished but is still coned off. Construction of new dormitory buildings where the old multi-story buildings were torn down is ongoing. Other changes? Comments?
