Interesting. At the beginning of test flights, mostly from Groom, I frequently hear "Good tango mike, good hot mike". Sometimes "hot mike" is not available. I assume "tango mike" is the UHF radio and I had a feeling "hot mike" had to do with an alternate radio down link. This article is confirmation for that. Thanks for the post.
