In relation to stealth defeating radar - I was under the impression that detecting stealth planes was relativly simple as long as one used two sites, one to transmit and one to receive - the main key of stealth being no radar reflections back along the transmission path, scattering the waves instead so one aims to collect the scatter.

Was this this just malicious rumour or maybe this is the driver behind enhancing the radar absorbancy of the surface materials.
