The camera tower on a hill near the gate at Groom Lake Road got company. The original tower was set up between June 2005 and October 2006. Sometime in early 2020(?) a utility building was added on the hill and a new larger triangular tower. It appears to still be under construction. Nothing is mounted to it yet. The hill is in a good location for a radio relay from Area 51 into Tikaboo Valley and into Range 61. The towers are somewhat hidden from view. The top can be seen between two hills on the left as you approach the warning signs on GL Rd., looking roughly south-west, approximately 450 feet before the gate. This photo was taken from the road on the hill just north of GL Rd. that has a better view of the site. There is a mysterious structure on the right that I call the pig roast. Any guess as to what that may be? The original tower is visible on Google Earth at 37°20'39.12"N / 115°39'24.83"W.
