If Nellis follows established patterns the exercise formerly known as MAFEX and JFEX will be held at the Keno air strip near the TTR Cedar Gate this Saturday. The exercise, now part of Operation Coyote Freedom, is quite spectacular to watch. It involves large numbers of C-130 and C-17 doing air drops at the air strip while deploying flares to counter ground threats. See the attached link for some photos. Most of the recent exercises have been at night.
