Probably because the Las Vegas Sun didn't run a story on it. I don't know whether he followed the same route. He found the inscription on January 7, 2000. In early to mid-2000, Jerry sent me some writings about his treks that he hoped to have published as a book. That's where I get the info from. I don't think the book was ever published. I hope his family follows through with it. I think it would be a fun read.
