I came to the same conclusion on Silverbow. I can make a map with waypoints based on the Garmin Topo make and put it on my website as a hidden link. I hesitate on giving anyone directions unless I take the trip myself. The maps are wrong so often.

I just finished addressing the Freedom of Informaion Act letter and hopefully I'll have a better idea where the forbidden zone starts.

Electronic maps make finding waypoints pretty easy. The best CDROM topo maps are from www.topo.com . Unfortunately, area 51 is not included yet. The second best is the topo map CDROM series from Garmin, which you can get from www.tvnav.com . Third best are the free maps from http://www.gisdatadepot.com They are free and actually not too shabby but you need a decent PC to handle big tif files. To get long/lat without hassles, you need software like what is found at http://www.powerup.com.au/~lornew/oziexp.html I hear the Delorme Topo map CDROM is pretty poor.

Anyway, having long/lat is much better than telling someone mile marker XXX or go through the 4-way intersection.
