from some of the things I've recently read, such measures didn't really matter anyway at the time. I recently read an article - can't recall where - that they recorded at least 400 incidents in which they outran missile launches. the copilots would see the tracking, then the lock on, and then the fire warning lights all go off sequentially...they'd count off to 30 in their head...but never an impact. too high and too fast for any missile tech to take them out at the time.
