Most of the Backgate cameras as well as the various tripod cameras and the FLIR cameras are short range; a few hundred yards. Maybe a mile or two for the FLIR. The remote controlled camera at the Backgate and the "hidden tower camera" probably cover a few miles. The Bald Mountain camera covers the entire Tikaboo Valley and parts of Sand Spring Valley. But it is subject to the same issues we are dealing with when taking photos of the base from Tikaboo: Atmospheric distortions. Besides zoom, there are limitations for the usefulness of ground based cameras.
