Can only speculate. He stopped in Alaska afterward, as well. Perhaps to see progress on the NGAD airframe, which Sec Kendall admitted has been conducting successful prototype flight testing since 2020. Timing is also interesting because just a few days later, the Skyborg system made it's first autonomous flight - However, that occurred in Florida...but i guess that doesn't mean they didn't do some initial testing there first to make sure it went smoothly?
