Great video, but very disappointed "Gator" I was honored to have shared a briefing stage early in my career with BGen William Spruance when he gave his presentation on crash/fire survivability. Brilliant guy who was horribly burned while flying in the backseat of a T-33 that crashed on takeoff. It's not a pretty sight, but here's a video of the presentations he used to make. The segment on the importance of gloves is from 13:00 to 18:00.
flew this demo without his nomex gloves and with his nomex flight suit sleeves rolled halfway up his forearms. We hammered the importance of gloves and sleeves into the heads of aircrew for all my years with USAF.
