There was a drop today SW of Mellan. They were on the Sandia freq. 384.800. I believe the callsign was RANGE/RAGE 72. Could be related. I also heard the VX-9 vampires in the ranges today and at least one flight that RTB'd to Cali. Unfortunately I do not recall where but it was not Point Mugu. The chatter sounded like an ordinary training mission. AWACS was Darkstar.
