It would be the ultimate in-joke if Darkstar is actually a project or very similar to one that is or was flying at some point. Obviously, the design isn't far removed from the SR-72 concepts released thus far. I just like the idea of a group of Skunk Works employees going "if only they knew". Which, I suppose has been said about a great many projects over the years.
