Since two of the above mentioned manufacturers were probably chosen to build NGAD demonstrators, one of them most likely will be designated X-52, while the other likely has been designated either X-39 or X-58. It wasn't just the X-44 that served as a tech demonstrator for the RQ-170, it was also the P-175 Polecat. Also note that the McDonnell Douglas X-36 tested technologies that were potentially applicable to a new generation of jet fighters.
