Hi EBJet,

I guess you are the same poster that used to post on ATS forum. Your referrence to the famous skyquakes in the early 90's and hints of a multicontractor expensive program are pretty interesting. Without asking specifics can I ask you about general idea of the system?

Was it simply program to conduct NRO or other agencies satellites into orbit on absense of Shuttles being grounded for unspecified amount of time after Challenger failure in 1986?

And another question, the skyquakes were reported in the early 90's timeframe, say roughly 1991-1993, and then disappeared... a program cancellation or lack of funds to conduct the system and thus the break? Important note: the skyquakes re-appeared again in 1996 or 1997 and appeared regularly onwards through the end of the decade and into the 2000's. Was this still the same program, outgrowth of it or the late 90's skyquakes onwards were something else entirely?

Regards!
