Attached is a related story on Fox News. My guess: An art project or someone put it there to be "discovered". I found odd things in the desert around here.

Years ago there was a Google Earth image that showed a giant carving of an alien face just this side of Queen City Summit. Looked like someone had carved it riding an ATV.

And then there is this guy Heizer who spends his life piling up dirt in Garden Valley north of Rachel as an "art project". But then he puts up "No Trespassing" signs and barbed wire so no one can see it.

Oh, and then of course there are the mysterious crash site memorials for Area 51 heroes who gave their lives, apparently erected by the mysterious SBC... ;-)
