Mount Diablo is a very easy hike with only a few hundred feet elevation change. If you hike up from the north side you are not in view of the guard station. The public road leading to the top is on the SW side where you are in full view. Red Flag is a good time to visit as the airspace is more active. If recent reports are correct you may even see an F-117 take off to participate in the exercise. Check our Maps section. There are lots of Google Earth plug-ins available to download. At least one of them has all the borders of the restricted area in it. At TTR the perimeter is actually marked by a decent fence.
