I was at the Alien Research Center in Hiko about a month ago and the gal behind the counter said, "I don't even want to be here!" She said something about authorities already building a gate to close the highway to Rachel. (I didn't bother to look and verify any gate construction.) She said they were planning an event with food, music, etc. I have passed through Hiko numerous times and can't imagine where they would put "thousands of people". They would have the same permitting issues as Rachel and a lot less public land in the immediate vicinity (walking distance). Perhaps, like the Calico Race, they would do best to sell tickets and run buses from Las Vegas.
