Ok now that you bought the scanner now what?

Depending on your locale, you got to program it. My RC-5 is divided up into banks. I live in Las Vegas so naturally, Bank A is Nellis AFB frequencies. Tower, Ground, Departure and Approach, etc. Bank B is Groom, C is Creech. Then McCarren, Yada yada yada. Download Joerg's Frequency List, highlight the ones you are interested in and group them in banks. Same goes for the rest of the world. All frequencies are online at various websites, from airnav, FAA and so on. Google is your friend!

Well, I hope this points you in a good direction. I think I had my scanner a good month or two before I got to use it other than a $200 dollar paper weight. Google VHF and UHF and understand the difference. Then Google airport info. Plug all that in. Viola! Or just ask. We are all happy to help.
