For most of us, From Vegas, TTR is a bit more out of the way than Area 61. However, myself and a few others go up there sometimes. Thig is, there is not much to report. The base mainly provides services to the surrounding ECR's. There is also some tactical evaluation of new UAV designs and strategies going on. But when you look at the Tonopah message boards, there is concern in town about TTR closing down and operations moving to a complex in the southern ranges. This would cost many jobs in Tonopah. Already, jobs at TTR are harder to find than they used to be. This indicates a decrease in activity.
