In 1984, Tactical Air Command initiated exercise CORONET SPRINGS to provide for special tactical deployments to Indian Springs AFB, Nevada for dissimilar air combat training (DACT) against foreign aircraft operated by the 4477th TES "Red Eagles." Various TAC squadrons deployed select pilots/crews each year. I'm not sure if the program is still active.
