I agree with you. Eight people does not sound like much, but with only about 60 or 70 residents that IS a significant portion of the Rachel population.

If nothing else, the guy managed to unite the people in Rachel to pull in the same direction for once. Which, as those of us who have spent some time in Rachel will know, does not happen very often...
