Early reports of quakes are automatic, computer generated and often not very accurate. This is especially true of the location. When they're manually reviewed the location often moves as much as 50 miles. Some small (< 2.0) never get reviewed. I guess it depends on the workload at the USGS. A 3.8 quake occured last night south of Alamo. This one probably will be reviewed today and it will be interesting to see if it 'moves'.
