It's not unbelievable to me. I've talked to people who spent the night at the Inn and still have no clue where they are, where Area 51 is, or even what it is.

Not everyone who drops by is there because of Area 51, many are people passing through on their way to Utah,or prospecting, or rock hunting.

Then there are those who got dropped off in Rachel by a spaceship. Last Labor Day weekend when I was there, a hitchiker came through and spent two days trying to hitchhike out because he thought 375 would be a busy highway. He was a little disappointed to find out that only a few dozen vehicles went by each day.

He was trying to get to Santa Cruz, CA. He wound up getting a ride back to Vegas and then hitched from there.
