How credible is the story? Who can tell.
Most of the site looks full of typical tinfoil hat conspiracy theories to me, but as the saying goes, even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Maybe they saw a weapons test, maybe they just saw a light pillar caused by ice crystals in the air.
Or maybe they just fabricated the images and nothing ever happened at all.
I don't think we have an opportunity to verify his claims in any meaningful way.
