Active Optical Systems is the subsidiary that would be responsible for the adaptive high-energy laser system of the company mentioned in the article. They produced a number of white papers a few years ago about this technology. Unfortunately, probably due to ITAR restrictions, the documents must be requested via email to info@aos-llc.com.
