Yeah, the only reason I could think of is tail numbers. If you have a list of tail numbers a potential enemy could deduce how many aircraft were not available to defend the country you planned to attack. I could see the Israeli IAF doing that. Not sure how many countries would like to attack the UAE? As for Hill or Otis AFB, aircraft -no idea...
