Makes me curious about an engine test facility. Most engine testing is conducted at the home plant of the manufacturer. We had a test area at Edwards for the engine mounted on the X-15, and I'm wondering if this might be a test facility for vehicle-mounted engines. Some of you more recent aviation boots-on-the-ground forum members might be more up to date on something like this.
