British RAF GR-7 Harrier, January 29, 1999


A British RAF GR-7 Harrier crashed in the hills 8.6 miles NNW of Rachel. The pilot ejected just before impact and survived with numerous broken bones. The aircraft was heading west towards Railroad Valley for ingress into the ranges during a Red Flag exercise. Click photos to enlarge.
