The issue is May 2000. It shows a Mig-21 in US arkings, like they ALL were.
HAVE Doughnut was the codename for the US marking Russian made aircraft.

They were based at Groom Lake for looking at the technology and after the technology was looked at they were used for DACT but NOT for Red Flag and only for test programs.

Red Hats, Red Eagles, Red Tops, Red Stars is what i've heard them called.
The magazine also tells how the 'box' was at the time of the Have Doughnut program called 'Red Square' a no go area like it is today.
It also states like i mentioned here a few posts ago that the source of some of the planes was Moldova and so on.
Apparently the ones outside the TWS are Iraqi and other middle eastern countries aircraft. some i think from the Yom Kippur War.
The Hind is also an EX-Iraqi Helicopter captured during the 1991 war.
