Dear all

Just found this page buried deep within the FAS site. Nothing new here, but interesting all the same.

Bit of a gaf with the "5000 yard runway" being "the longest in the world" though! It's more like about 9000 yards long (27,000 feet), although most of it is just smoothed out (or 'Groomed' ..., get it...?) lakebed used as over-run.

Perhaps the first of the 'overheads' is the washed out picture that the FAS staffer spoke of.
