Well, if the F-22 almost got cancelled because it got too expensive, can you imagine how much this baby will cost. Did you notice how the back of the wing becomes the outward front edge when the wings are folded in. So it needs two sets of flaps, and they better be coordinated right. Not to mention the pressure and resulting wear on the flap motors (drives?) when they are pointing forward...
