Connie, It was probably just a normal operational Jet aircraft big or small(as you didnt describe) that has had its vapour trail caught up in its Vortex more than usuall...due to its decent. I see extremely ODD looking contrails everyday caused by Dogfights, Tankers, Passenger aircraft,and C-130s....some even look remarkably similar to the Donuts on a rope....with blobs followed by a string....says something doesnt it? I once saw this from a B747 also....near enough looked like apulse engine had made the contrail. Seeing as you live in NV, we cannot rule out a sinister aircraft however...you just might, 'might' of seen a black Program... Can you describe if you saw 1, 2, 3 or 4 trails close together? Rich
Its very easy to see even at altitude whether its got more than one contrail.
I can make it out easy anyway, and i live in one of the busiest Military training areas in the UK aswell as being under one of the busiest airways in europe....so i see quite alot of WEIRD contrails...mostly caused by Vortices unfortunately....
