Richard - I didn't think the Tiger had been to the UK on an 'official' basis either. Also, I think you guys actually borrowed a couple of Longbow Apaches for a period of a few months in around 1997, but I can't remember where I read that (Air Forces Monthly perhaps?!).

There is no way the Rooivalk would have got anywhere near the UK. It is a piece of crap! Now, give me a Ka-50 with western engines and avionics - that'd be fun!

We're about the choose either the Longbow Apache or the Tiger for the Australian Army. Will probably go with the Apache, although the Tiger is about half the cost.
