Guys. It could have been an Apache as, although the WAH- version has only been flying for a year or so, the US Army did 'lend' a couple to the Britrs for trials in the 1995-97 period. The timeframe is right, and the type is one which you have mentioned.

Eurocopter was also trying to sell its 'Tiger' battlefield helicopter to the UK at the time, although I don't if there were any 'in-country' for trials work, and your dates may be a little late. The 'Tiger' also has some stealth faceting, although not to the same degree as that of the Comanche.

The Comanche has only been flying in full scale form for a year or so, and then only in weapon-less and avionic-less prototype form. It'll be a few years yet before we see operational standard Comanche's flying anywhere but the US.
