Yeah, mostly self-destructed. I cannot believe he would allow an insult to the right wing Christian conservatives to come out of him or his camp. But apparently he did, and that scewed him. It's amazing how the righteous right stood up and were counted in voting against McCain, but have been lethergically ambivilent about Clinton, who really does have an morals and ethical deficit. McCain could have beat Gore, the polls already showed that, but Dubbya Bush has it more of a dead heat. So now the Clinton-Gore candidate is running against exactly the man they know they can do the best against. If I was a conspiracist, this would be another in a loooong list of strange instances where fate rolled and lost against the best interests of America, and for the Clinton/Rodham/Gore dynasty. This may not be so much of an election, as it is a scripted wrestling match, with the winner already selected, with the purpose to keep the public entertained with the false feeling of political empowerment.
