Actually the WWF is pretty much what politics today is really about. It is a choreographed and scripted entertainment event we pretend to have belief that it is real and honest. The referees (the media) are as big a part of the production as the players, and we are supposed to believe that they are impartial and fair. The big difference is that in wrestling the audience knows that they are just spectators, in politics that is still very true, but we are given the illusion of choise. That keeps the noisy rabble satisfied, and totally ignorant of the manipulation clandestinely performed on them. If you think this is not true, then those states who's primarys are still pending would still have McCain as a viable choise, they do not. At least a Monarchy has the honesty to let you know that it doesn't matter what the people want. A democracy that is steered by minorities, dictated by non-law abiding lawmakers, and evaluated by a far from impartial media, is scary. Maybe the far right nuts that distrust the government so far as to think that the New World Order has black helicopters stationed at AREA 51 should be listened to for thier reasons, but not thier actions.
