I'm not sure whether Andy McNab can tell the difference between fact and fiction any more, but he does tell a good story. John Nichol has gone on to writing novels now, but his two to date have been pretty weak. McCain seems to be a good honest guy, but he's going to get done like a dinner by Bush. Nobody directly involved in politics wants an honest guy in the White House, and besides, he doesn't have the financial backing that Bush does. He does have a strong affinity with the armed forces, and that would be a really good thing for them, but it's not going to be enough. I do believe that the CIC should have a military background, and McCain is what I would call a real hero. Unfortunately, we don't have the luxury of demanding that of our leaders here in Australia, as we don't have a large military and we haven't seen any real combat since Vietnam. Magoo
