The Crash at el mirage(Grey Butte) of the Global Hawk was not related....and couldnt of been seeing as the fire is at Groom lake. -Richard
It received a signal from Nellis AFB which sent it to its doom.
If a global hawk did crash it wouldnt burn like that seen in the photos.
According to a Fighter pilot friend of mine, Drop tanks(of which Joerg says) dont burn like that either.
It seems the fire is burning fiercly , maybe the material involved or for that matter if it was a drop tank, some sort of new material. But then what are B-52s in Nevada carrying Drop Tanks for?
