I looked into the legalities of this some time ago. Amazingly,
under Nevada law, all one has to do to legally post an area
of private property (or government property in this case), is to
merely post red markers every so often along the perimeter of
the property to be marked as "no trespassing". I forget the
precise distance, but it's at least 1/4 and maybe as much as 1/2
mile intervals. Once this is done, the property is legally
posted(!), and the burden is then on anyone who crosses
into the property. I am fairly certain the government
has met all legal requirements for posting the entire perimeter.

Could you "wander" across accidently and get away with it in front
of a judge? Only if you were a local and could show you were
out hunting or something like that. Otherwise they will
figure you're another A51 tourist and need to be taught a
lesson in Nevada property law, as well as adding to the coffers
of the LIncoln County treasury.
