I'll bet it's even uglier in the flesh! I'm sure Boeing would ensure any and all official pics taken of it are from its good side...if it has one that is!

I can't wait for the LM JSF to fly, supposedly in the next month. It's a much better looking aircraft.

The thing to remember is, that the production version will rpobably look alot different than the 'X' version. The 'X' version is only the concept demonstrator, and isn't even meant to be a representative prototype, so it's two generations behind what the evebntual 'A' model aircraft will be.

The production F-22A is a different looking aircraft to the YF-22 that first flew ten years ago. The vertical stabs are much smaller now, and the cockpit has been moved further forward to improve vision. the intakes, horizontal stabs and wing planform have also changed.
