Re: Groom Lake Infiltration (because you're mine, I walk the line)

I have maps and a compass, but that sure is the hard way to navigate. It is not a problem on flat land, but in hilly areas 50ft can mean the difference between an easy hike or a cliff.

The good news is finding your car at the TTR is pretty simple. Getting back to the main road is harder, but a map with accurate mileage works well, kind of like Tom Mahood's original TTR map.

I am aware of the GPS jamming and do check the notams, which are generally posted on the sci.geo website. Notams are also handy to see when a VIP is coming to town since the airspace gets restricted.
